Wind Band Hana
Since 70′ the Wind Band Hana has been a hatchery of more than hundred hobby musicians, semi-professionals and professional performers. Started as a part-time activity of brass section of the former symphonic orchestra, the wind band gave its first performance on May 1st 1975. Since then it has been growing in number of musicians as well as in performance quality. Starting with the czech brass band stadards, in decades it developed in wide range of repertoir including marches, polkas, movie melodies, classical music like Dvorak, Smetana, Williams and more. In the time there were three leaders at the conductor’s stand, lately the place belongs to Mr. Frantisek Tkadlec since 1998. Since 2019 the orchestra has a second conductor – Mr. Michal Strejček.
In the last fifteen years the band went through the period of major growth. Participated in large events across the whole Europe, from France to Poland, performing on czech TV, accompanying majorttes groups in various shows etc. The band is recognized in the Czech Republic as well as abroad as an excellent entertainer, professional performer and the group of musicians, who do their hobby with enthusiasm and always bring lots of fun, although maintaining the highest quality of the performance.
